The I PERSyst Training School, conducted in Porto Alegre – Brazil, offered an intensive two-day course focused on conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the field of prevalence. The program attracted a diverse group of 100 participants, comprising 44 postgraduate students, 27 university professors, 22 researchers, and 7 undergraduate students. Celina Borges Migliavaca, Diana Buitrago-Garcia, Julian Higgins, Maicon Falavigna, Nicola Low, and Zachary Munn facilitated enlightening discussions by sharing the knowledge of the PERSyst group. The participants contributed significantly with valuable insights and demonstrated remarkable participation, enriching the learning experience for all. The event was funded by IATS-UFRGS and CAPES, with support from the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre.
